North Shore Public School, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board

The Sewarahon'satat Project , rooted in the Virtual Grand Erie Communication Literacy Project. 

The project  themes reflect water teachings, creation stories cultural traditions and the local natural environment ( present and historic). 
This 3D mural as well as representing the FN teachings shows a sacred site with  largest known Aboriginal rock carvings 
(petroglyphs)  and is know as "The Teaching Rock"


 Video conferences where co-ordinated with all the involved schools to deliver the cultural and water teachings. Through a eries of peer mentoring activities students are empowered to teach and share their stories in a "Virtual Circle"with students from other school boards. Through this process identity as First Nations peoples was fostered and strengthened cultural literacy between native and non-native youth developed.
The schools involved were from TDSB,  KPRDSB and GEDSB.
